It is a teacher’s job to assess students’ performance in class. They must mark students’ work and give them feedback on their progress. Should students also be allowed to assess their teachers on their performance?
I believe it would be a good idea for students to assess their teachers. The learning process never really stops for any of us, and teachers could use feedback from their students in order to learn if they’re doing the right thing, or if something isn’t working.
But some people believe this process would be a waste of time. A teacher is a trained professional, and students are the ones who are doing the learning. Also, a student could say something unfair about the teacher because they may not like the teacher. This may be because the student received a bad mark, which wasn’t the teacher’s fault.
Nonetheless, I think teachers could benefit from student feedback. For one thing, students have a different view of the classroom to the teacher. Also, no one is perfect, and teachers make mistakes just like students do. With students assessing teachers, teachers can learn from their students’ unique perspectives.
To sum up, I believe it would be a useful process for students to tell their teachers how they’re doing. It could be something done at the end of the year, or teachers could ask students in the classroom from time to time what they think about the lessons and encourage them to speak up about it.

Nowadays every school has a rating system where only teachers are able to assess their students. Some people believe that it is a proper studying system, while others argue that students should be permitted to assess their teachers as well.
From my point of view, students should have a chance to value their teachers for a few reasons. First and foremost, it is fair and it shows the equality of both sides. Secondly, students should have such a right in order to have a chance to change the teacher. Lastly, it will help to evaluate the whole process of education and draw some conclusions. That is why I vote for it.
However, some people claim that it is unacceptable for students to rate their teachers. They support their opinion by the fact that the students might give an unfair assessment just because of personal grudges and bad marks. Besides, such rating system shows disrespect to teachers who are trained professionals. These arguments make people think of disadvantages of a students’ evaluation rights.
Nevertheless, I do not agree with these arguments because they are not convincing for me. This is exactly owing to my belief that teachers should take some remarks into account and profit from student’s feedbacks.
In conclusion, I would like to state, that equal rating system might be very beneficial for educational structures. That is why I wish my school would permit students to assess their teachers.

The idea of evaluating teachers by their students is an excellent practice and can bring many benefits to the whole education system. I believe this approach is useful to teachers, learners as well as schools. In the following paragraphs, I will give my reasons to support my opinion.
First of all, teachers have clear benefits when their pupils assess their performance. It brings the opportunity for educators to find out how well their students understand their lectures. It also helps them improve their knowledge and teaching methods. Also, the authority, from such assessments, can find out the best trainers in their institutes. Reversely, teachers who perform poorly in such reviews, get the opportunity to tune in their teaching methods and develop classroom skills. This can improve the level of professionalism and teaching techniques among the teachers.
Secondly, students also profit greatly from such reviews.They will more often attend lectures because they feel a part of the school. Students feel connected with the school authority when they are given the freedom to rate their teachers. It helps them sort out the teachers who need better training. The whole process develops the education system in which they learn.
Finally and most importantly, the quality of education and the learning environment will improve dramatically which impacts the learners’ knowledge and skills over time. In addition to those practical benefits, a school will be better funded by its sponsors and valued by the community. This, in turn, will attract more students because it will be an honour to study in such a school.
To conclude, the evaluation of teachers by their students will bring many benefits and allow students, as well as their teachers, to gain more knowledge and experience. It will help the school authority run the school in a better fashion.

Topic : In order to imporove the quality of education, high school students should be encouraged to evaluate and criticise their teachers, but other think it will result in loss of respect and discipline in classroom. What your opinion ?
Some people think that to ensure the high quality of education, students should be encouraged to assess and criticise their teachers’ performance while others claim that this activity is conducive to the disappearance of respect and discipline in classroom. I partly agree with the former idea for the following reasons.
On one hand, this policy allows teachers to enhance their performance. The truth is that as a result of being stick to the tradional teaching methods for long, teahers may cause their students to lose their interest in learning. When learners are entitled to evaluate their teachers, they enable a teacher to realiaze the weaknesses of his or her teaching method , improving their performance. In addtion, by properly adjusting their approach to education , teachers may motivate students to dig deeper into their favourite fields, and by chance, discover new things to change the world. For example, at my university, after integrating such high technologies as computers, pojectors into teaching , the student attendance rate has been significantly increasing.
However, behind the promising results is drawbacks. It is likely that when students have to bury themselves in such boring subjects as history,mathematics,literature, despite the high quality of teaching, they tend to criticise their teachers and their assessment is objective.This leads to loss of respect and discipline in classroom. For instance, though my historical teacher makes great efforts to create interesting lectures to appeal students, they rarely appreciate these efforts and less willing to give him high ratings. Equally important, With each learner having their own capbalitity, it would be a struggle for teachers to introduce a teaching method that can statisfy the needs of all students. Moreover, being bombarded with students’ poor evaluation, lecturers feel stressed ,exhausted and may give up their career when their efforts are no longer be recognized.
In conclusion, to ensure the best quality of education, students should be allowed to criticise and appraise their teachers, although there are some disadvantages of this policy
