My Last Summer Holidays

I always look forward to my summer holidays. In my opinion, there’s nothing like the Russian countryside. We’ve got a small country house in a very picturesque place not far from Zagorsk. There’s a river and a lake there. My friends and I often go swimming and boating there. I’m also fond of lying in the sun.

There’s a lot of fish in the lake, so I sometimes go fishing. I like to sit in silence for a while waiting for a fish to get caught and listening to the birds singing in the trees. When I happen to catch a fish I set it free at once, because I do fishing just for pleasure.

When it’s very hot I usually go to the forest. The air is cool there. I like to walk in the shade of the trees and pick mushrooms and berries. I’ve got a dog called Jack. He becomes so happy when I take him with me to the forest.

Jack likes to run after butterflies or dragonflies. I sometimes play with him. I throw a stick and he brings it back to me.

But last summer my parents decided to go to some other place for a change. They made up their minds to go to the Crimea. I think it was the greatest mistake they had ever made. This, in a nutshell, is what happened.

To begin with, it was very difficult to find a place to stay. We rented a room in a house a long way from the sea. It was the only place we managed to get. It took us about half an hour to get to the beach. But it didn’t matter, as it turned out a few days later. Suddenly our happy sunny days were over. It started to rain. It occasionally cleared up for a while but then the rain went on again. All we could do was to spend all our time in the cinema or in a cafe. It was impossible to leave because we had made reservations beforehand and we had to spend another week there. I had never seen so many films in my life. By the end of the week I got very tired of the cinema and I could only lie on the bed reading books or staring at the ceiling.

At last the happy day of our departure came. You can’t imagine how astonished we were. The sun began to shine early in the morning. It seemed to me that it was laughing at us.

After that holiday we decided to spend every summer in the country.

I went to Milan last February with my boyfriend.We flew to Milan by WIZZ
AIR.We stayed for three days in a great hotel near Duomo.During the day we walked
around the city.We saw all the famous places like the Duomo and the theatre La
Scala.We took a lot of photos.At night we went to restaurants and had
fantastic pizza,salad and pana cota.

Our favourite restourant was in the via Montenapoleone.We bought some very expensive clothes, shoes and bags.We had a great time.Milan is  a very nice town with special atmosphere and the Italian food is wonderful.

Last year we went to the see in Bulgaria. We traveled by car.We were me and my husband. We stayed in hotel near the beach.There we had rest and fun.During the day we walked along the beach, in the evening we went to a restaurant and sometames to a bar. During my last holiday me and my family were on a visit in the house of friends of ours.
The house is at the foot of the Rila mountain.
Every day we woke up early in the morning, we had breakfast in the garden and
we went to Borovetz.
In Borovetz it was very quiet  because there were not so many people as in the winter.
One of the days we went to Yastrebetz by lift. There we sat in the restaurant of the mountain

hut and we ate beans soup and sausages and we drank some mountain tea.
The weather was nice and we had a great time.

I went to my village last holiday with my girlfriend. We stayed for  4 days in  my house.  There it was nice and cosy.  During the day we walked in the mountain and saw a beautiful river and meadows. My last holiday

I went to Kostenets last month with my girlfriend. We went to Kostenets by car.

We stayed for a weekend in a nice hotel near the river. The hotel was inexpensive.

On the first day we walked to the waterfall Kostenets and we took a lot of photos. For  dinner we were in the hotel’s restaurant and ate very tasty vegetables.

On the second day we stayed in the hotel because the weather was very bad.

We had a great time but we had a little problem: the time was  very short.

My last holiday
Last summer I went to London and Paris with my daughter, my sister and her son (my nephew).First, we flew to London by Easy Jett. In London we stayed at our friends’ home for one week. We saw all the famous places in London, we went to Stonehenge and also we went to the ocean beach. We took a lot of photos.

In the evenings we went to pubs. I liked listening to pub music  and I liked drinking English beer. The next week we went to Paris by train “Euro star”. We travelled through the Channel Tunnel. It’s the longest underwater tunnel in the world.

In Paris we stayed in a hotel near the Disneiland.It was my present for my daughter’s birthday. We had a great time. Paris is an amazing city. We took a lot of photos and bought a lot of souvenirs. We didn’t have any problems. It was a fantastic holiday.

My last holiday was last summer.I went to the Black sea with my very best friends. We stayed for seven days in Albena. In the mornings we got up at 9:00 o’clock, had  breakfast and went to the beach. About 14:00 o’clock we had lunch in the hotel’s restaurant.

Every day after lunch we traveled to a variety of places near  Albena, for example, the Botanical garden and the King’s palace in Balchic, The Stone  monastery in Golden Sands , and the cape ” Caliacra”. Everywhere we took a lot of photos.

In the evenings we had dinner in the hotel, after that  we went to a piano-bar, where we sang and danced.

The weather was very hot, it was still summer.

This holiday was wonderful, we had a great time.

After the last bell at school, I had to continue to go to school to do some work. We helped our teacher to repair our classroom. We went on different excursions: to the botanical garden, to the history museums and galleries.
After my practice finished, the real summer holidays started. I slept till midday, I didn’t spend my time on studies, but I did spend a lot of time in front of my computer and I did everything I couldn’t do during the school year. Everything looked like a usual holiday to me, but I didn’t know then that I was going to have the best holiday in my life.
One day my father came home and said that in July we would go to Egypt. It was fantastic! I had never been abroad before and it was a real shock for me. I was looking forward to this day and finally it came. So, on the 14th of July we packed our suitcases and went to Kiev so that we could fly to Sharm-el-Sheikh from Borispol airport in Kiev.
It was the first time when I travelled by plane and I thought it would be really scary. But the flight was smooth and comfortable. It took us 4 hours to flight from Kiev to Sharm-el-Sheikh.
The moment we arrived I knew that I loved the place. Our hotel was very modern and beautiful and the room we had to live in had a sea view. In addition to the Red Sea, we could swim in an enormous swimming-pool in front of the hotel. Leaving our luggage unpacked, we rushed to the sea. It was really great! The sea was very warm, clean and full of different fish and seaweeds.
Since it was a seaside holiday, we swam and sunbathed, then swam and sunbathed again. In a few days we went on excursion to Cairo to see the pyramids. I even couldn’t imagine that they were so huge! The Sphinx was enormously giant and absolutely gorgeous. Also we didn’t want to lose a chance to visit Israel as this country borders on Egypt. In Israel we visited very famous places, which were mentioned in the Bible. It was very interesting and instructive.
But unfortunately all good comes to an end sooner or later. We had to come back to Ukraine, but I had a lot of impressions to share with my friends and a lot of souvenirs to present them.
I spent the rest of summer at my Granny’s. She lives in a small but marvelous town and I like to spend my holidays there. I have a lot of friends there too. We went to the lake where we swam, sunbathed and played volleyball. Also we went to the forest and picked mushrooms. We had picnics and garage parties. It was very funny.
One day I had to go home and to start my studies again. I am looking forward to the next summer and hope that it wouldn’t be less exciting than the previous one.
