Poverty is the reason behind most crime эссе

Nowadays as the world population is increasing, poverty is developing more and more. Some people argue that the shortage is the reason behind most crimes. I partially agree with

this

statement for several reasons.

Firstly

, poverty is one of the major problems in these years. It’s noticeable how poor people that live in urban or suburban areas don’t have enough space to farm or hunt,

thus

they are more propensity to commit a crime to survive compared to poor people that live in rural areas and could rely on farming or breeding. To cite an example, recent studies suggest that the percentage of total crimes committed was composed by 50% of poor people that live in the cities, whereas

this

percentage drop to a nearly 15% for people that live in the rural areas.

Moreover

, poverty could be a way to do more and could incentivise people to reach better results as they want to escape

this

situation.

Furthermore

, it can enhance the relationship among different people as they will be normally dependent among each other. One clear example could be the «Giustiniana» community, founded in 1980 by people that were in economical difficulties and based on a common sharing of possession among the members,

that is

still operating.

To draw the conclusions, in certain cases scarcity could be the reason behind most crimes,

Although

, on the other hands,it’s noticeable how it can push people to improve their selves by reaching higher goals. Governments should take severe measures in order to tackle

this

problem and allow everyone to have a better lifestyle.

Some people consider that poverty is one of the prime causes of crime in society. When people have no money in their pockets, they are forced to choose crimes to convene their needs. I totally agree with this and in this essay, I will provide reasons to illustrate my deliberation.

Poverty is born is society due to “unfair distribution of wealth”, hence the first and foremost reason which urges people to commit crime because of poverty is “hunger”. Because of poverty, people commit crime to support the hunger needs of themselves and their families. Of course, it is not easy for anyone to see children starving for food. When people find no way to feed their children, they do not hesitate to commit crimes such as theft of money and mobile snatching etc. This trend is rampant in developing countries.

Technology is constantly innovating and with that, new models of mobiles, laptops and other electronic items are emerging in the market. Young people especially teenagers are rapidly attracted to these lavish stuff. It is not so difficult for the children of rich people to achieve these valuable things, but it is a dream for poor and middle class ones. These personnel who are new to youth chose shortcut routes to get rich and have these items, due to lack of money and resources. Initially, they just steal and rob to get what specifically they want but as time go on; they get used to it and become professional criminals, moreover they reach that level of crime where no return is possible. They commit one crime after another and uphold this practice until caught.

To conclude, I would say that poverty is the biggest reason that causes the most crimes in the world. Sometimes people commit crime for necessities of life and sometimes for luxury of life. Because of poverty, when someone does not observe any legitimate way to satisfy their needs, he commits crime.
(340 Words)

As the most of the people beliefs, the majority cause of crime commitment is destitution. In my opinion, however, poor people motivate to sin more than others; I believe that other factors such as illiteracy and parent or friends influence would be as important as poverty.

Lack of education is one of the crucial parameters which leads a person to commit an offence. In fact, People are taught how to have good manner and how to decide between right or wrong ways in schools. So, analphabet person who drops out of school would never know about the ultimate result of his/her wrongdoing because he/she do not learn about moral behavior.

Undoubtedly, parents and friends have the most significant impact on a person beliefs or even characteristics. As a matter of fact, youth who have criminal friends or parents, easily attract to delinquency because of the peer pressure or perhaps wrong pattern. so, the friends or parents effect should not underestimate.

On the other hand, to some extent, I agree with that, the poverty affected the human beings senses, but it is related to person’s decision to be a criminal or not. For example, when a needy person was starving, he/she would never attend to good or bad moral in that kind of situation but, he/she might choose to plan a shop robbery or request for help and food or in better situation ask for a job with the minimum salary.

In conclusion, although, penury perhaps would be a cause of committing a minor or major offence, some other important factor such as illiteracy and parents or friends effects would have the same level of importance as poverty.

The crime rate nowadays is increasing rapidly and some people think that poverty is the main reason. I strongly disagree with this opinion.

In my opinion, firstly, lack of education is the main explanation for most crimes. People who are provided with an educational program know how to behave in the right way. Thus, people who drop out of school will do not know how to act politely with others. Furthermore, on account of this, they hardly find any jobs let alone a well-paid job. The second reason that can mention is the parents. Parents have a great enormous impact on their children so if they do not have good manner, their children won’t be able to become good citizens for society. In addition, bad characteristics such as laziness and selfishness could also build up many offenders. It is widely known that a number of youngsters choose to steal from other people instead of earning money on their own.

On the other hand, it is undeniable that poverty is one of the reasons that lead to crimes. Because of the hunger, many people will choose a plan to steal or rob in order to have enough money to get by. Moreover, perharps, due to the difficulty in finding good jobs, they are always unable to earn enough money for their families and for themselves.

In conclusion, poverty is just one of many reasons that lead to crimes. I would argue that lack of education, criminal’s background and characteristics that are the central sense for most crimes

IELTS ESSAY: POVERTY AND CRIME

[big_title2]Discuss the relationshop between poverty and crime[/big_title2]

[subtitle2]IELTS Essay 1[/subtitle2]

Different statistical researches show the correlation between crime rate and poverty. First of all, the level of crime is related to unemployment in all countries. Although, if we study the question further, we can realise, that the relationship is quite superficial.

From my point of view, increasing poverty sometimes does lead to soaring crime rate. We know, that is some cases people are able to commit a crime. For instance, poverty may lead to thefts in stores and shops. In addition to these minor offences, poor people may commit burglaries and even robbery. It depends on individual character and circumstances of life. Furthermore, poverty makes people tired of their being so that they can perform violence and even become a murderer in the families. Certainly, the main reason for such crimes is alcohol.

Although, we can better study the issue, if explore it in different societies. In other words, we know a lot of ascetics, who live in caves alone and no crime comes near them. After that, such crimes, as murder and theft, are well-known to rich people as well as to poor. The temptation of money and independance they give may lead to a horror crime. It seems to me, that noone locks the door in India, though there are lots of poor people there. And, of course, we should mention the great role of police and justice in limiting the crime rate.

Generally, I think, there is no direct relationship between crime level and money. If the system of legal enforcement can provide the correct punishment for the most crimes, the crime rate will be low, due to poor and rich both obey the laws. This means, that the main problem is of justice, not of wealth.

[subtitle2]IELTS Essay 2[/subtitle2]

There is no doubt that poverty and crime have some connection. The positive correlation between unemployment and the crime rate in many countries could be taken as evidence for this. Though, if we investigate this question further, we may find this kind of statistical phenomenon both superficial and misleading.

It is true that, under certain conditions, poverty induces crime. Many people in the world are able to perform crime in order to gain some money for families and themselves. Sometimes poor people do not see another way except theft or robbery to make money. However, there are thousands legal ways to live wealthy life. For example, many cities have a big deal of employment opportunities. Even though, there are not many options for work for some reason, everyone is able to move to the nearby city and try to find suitable occupation. It is certainly true that all those options are not as easy to realize as they seem to be, so it needs some effort to be made.

The issue could be even better clarified by making comparison between nations. The rate of crime has strong correlation with the policy of the country. If the country has strict law for different kinds of crime it may has lower level of illegality. For instance, such countries as the UAE and Australia have very strict law, for that reason these countries are rated as ones of the safest countries in the world. On the other hand, countries like Russia or Ukraine have an immense amount of corruption, because of the imperfect law system.

In short, there is no direct relationship between poverty and crime. So long as the system of legal enforcement and prosecution can enforce justice, social conditions are kept in order, and the government’s authority is obeyed by the rich and the poor alike, crime will be limited in both rich and poor areas as well as in both developed and developing countries.

Poverty is a matter that affects many people in the world. It arises from social, political, and economical consequences formed during the history of a country. In some cases, it may lead to crimes, e.g. as an alternative route for obtaining food. Some people beg for money but some do not and may be prone to use criminal methods. Nevertheless, the poverty is certainly not THE reason for MOST of the crimes. It can certainly be an influential factor but one must remember that also rich people can do crimes, such as tax evading and Ponzi schemes. The personality also play role which is partly formed due to environmental factors, such as friends and computer activities.

Also some poorness, in terms of money, may do well for the person to enable them to be more careful not to purchase unnecessary products and thus cause actually healthier than criminal lives. However, not everyone sees things like this, then some consider that we live constant struggle against rich and poor (why such a black and white notion?) and should have every right to be ‘robin hoods’ as soon as we can or it does not hurt us (or considerably the other).
