Undoubtedly, leisure activity is an integral part of people’s life. I am currently working on the project which focuses on studying popular free time activities that elderly people do in Zetland. I have found some relevant data on the subject and I am going to analyze them in my project.

According to the information provided in the table, the majority of the elderly, accounting for more than one third, spend their free time with family and friends. I have found out that the next popular activity among the elderly in Zetland is watching TV. The figure is 25%. It seems surprising to me that few seniors do the gardening which makes 8%.

Comparing the data given in the table, it becomes obvious that almost three times more old people in Zetland spend their free time with family and friends than those engaged in sports. Reading seems less popular than watching TV. The conducted comparison allows me to assume that doing sports is not a favourable activity with old people in Zetland.

The table clearly illustrates that elderly people have a wide range of pastime activities. However, some problems can arise due to the leisure activities preferred by senior citizens. Having analyzed the data, I can conclude that communication with family and friends is in priority with seniors. In my opinion, leisure activities play a notable role in seniors’ life because these activities help senior citizens to relax, stay healthy and active. All in all, leisure activities are good for the elderly.

Undoubtly, going to workis an integral part of people’s life. I am currently working on the project which focuses on studying the means of transport that Zetland people use to go to their work and come back. I have found some data on how residents of Zetland travel to and from work and I am going to analyze it in my project.

According to the information provided in the pie chart the majority of residents, accounting for nearly a half, use their own cars.The next popular ways to commute is a walk.The figure is 14%.Surprisingly, the pie chart plainly indicatesthat very few people ride bikes. The figure stands at 2%.

Comparing the data given in the diagram, it becomes obvious that almost five times more people use public transport, namely buses, than those who ride bikes. Commuting by underground seems less popular than walking.

Having analyzed the data in the pie chart, it can be concluded that commuting is an integral partof life in Zetland. In my opinion, transport plays a significant role in city life and government should provide proper facilities for its development. Therefore, citizens must demand such help from their authorities and have more active position towards city reconstruction.

38.1 Many people consider a good breakfast to be a good start of the day. The purpose of the project I am currently working on is to find out more about it. As part of my project, I have found and analyzed some data on what teenagers usually eat for breakfast in Zetland.

According to the data, the teenagers in Zetland have quite a wide range of tastes when it comes to breakfast. The vast majority of the respondents enjoy eating sandwiches in the morning, 43% of the respondents have chosen them. Egg-based dishes as well as fruit are also quite popular with the adolescents in Zetland (20% and 18% respectively), whereas cereals and yoghurt appear to be the least favourite.

It is worth mentioning that a fruit is three times as preferable as yoghurt. Surprisingly, the teenagers choose an apple or a banana more often than well-advertised diary product.

One problem that can arise with having breakfast is that a lot of people do not have it at all. Obviously, it is not a healthy habit. As usual, people forget to have a meal or they have no idea of what they can cook, very often they have no time for it. A great solution of this problem is to create special application where people could find simple and quick recipes for breakfast. Also, it could remind people to make sure they have all the necessary in advance.

In conclusion, I firmly believe that having breakfast is very important. Having this meal gives people all the energy they need for a challenging day. (263 words)

38.2 Recent studies show that people like having pets. The aim of the project I am currently working on is to find out what pets people usually keep in Zetland. As part of my project, I have found and analyzed some relevant data presented in the diagram.

According to the data, there are various kinds of pets that can be kept at home. It is clear that dogs as well as cats are loved by the vast majority of the respondents (31% and 26% respectively). Also, as much as 23% of those polled prefer keeping fish, whereas hamsters appear to be not very popular pets in Zetland.

It is worth mentioning that exotic animals are less popular than traditional pets. Obviously, they require special treatment, living conditions and food; what is more, they are quite expensive.

One problem that can arise with keeping pets is difficulties with going on holiday. People like travelling but they have to think about their pets. Usually they ask their friends, relatives or neighbours to look after their pets. However, sometimes it is impossible. One of the solutions could be organizing pet hotels where they could wait for their masters comfortably and be in a good company.

In conclusion, I firmly believe that despite some problems associated with keeping pets, they play an important role in people’s life. They help people avoid loneliness and stress. (229 words)

I’ll happily answer to your questions. First of all, some people don’t want to have pets because it is enormous responsibility. Also, the thing behind the cost — food, toys — these are expensive. Secondly, it is fine to have an exotic pet. However, it is more difficult to focus on these animals. Finally, I think the most popular pets are cats, dogs and of course hamsters. I really love cats. They are cute and sleepy.

Аспект 3. 1–2 существенных сравнения даны ( REVELANCE )
Прежде всего, подчеркнем, что проводимые сравнения автор должен связать с темой проекта. Также важно, чтобы 5 фактов из таблицы/диаграммы были правильно распределены между двумя пунктами плана, и чтобы для сравнения были выбраны такие факты/цифры, о которых можно сказать что-то существенное.
Возникает вопрос, как оценивать аспекты 2 и 3, если не вся информация, данная в таблице /диаграмме использована. Если бОльшая часть данных (3 из 5) использована, то баллы не снижаются: 2 факта приведены и 1 сравнение дано.
Если используется менее 3 цифр/фактов, то либо аспект 2, либо аспект 3 является неполным, что естественно ведет к снижению баллов.
В апробации были ответы, в которых повторяется одна и та же информация во 2 и 3 абзацах, что, безусловно, нежелательно. Принимаем, если дано в другом языковом оформлении, или идея дублирована частично. Например, в абзаце 2 говорится о том, что 40% назвали книги о приключениях, в то время как книги о спорте предпочитают читать только 20%. В абзаце 3 говорится, что книги о приключениях предпочитают читать вдвое больше подростков, чем книги о спорте.
Возможны также случаи, когда в работе даётся информация, которой нет в таблице. В этом году, учитывая новый формат задания, баллы не снижаются, если избыточная информация не несет фактических ошибок и не противоречит предложенной коммуникативной ситуации. Все темы проектных работ базируются на предметном содержании речи, обозначенном в кодификаторе ЕГЭ. Это темы, обязательные для школьного курса иностранного языка и обсуждаемые во всех УМК из федерального перечня. Все они рассматриваются в старшей школе с позиций критического мышления, поэтому у выпускников не должно возникать трудностей с этим аспектом. Сложнее найти логическое решение поднятой проблемы, но здесь мы возвращаемся к требованиям ФГОС, к линии на практико-ориентированность.
Если предлагается нереальная или абсурдная проблема, то аспект считается невыполненным. Если проблема реальна (например, болезни глаз, связанные с чтением), но предлагается её абсурдное решение, то в этом случае такой аспект считается неточным (например, чтобы глаза выздоровели, нужно поспать).

Аспект 5. Мнение автора о … в заключении выражено.
Для раскрытия этого аспекта важно точно следовать формулировке, данной в плане ответа. Формулировки могут выделять разные стороны исследуемого явления – с некоторым расширением: например, тема проекта «Чтение в жизни подростков», а в заключении может стоять «роль чтения в жизни людей». Возможна обратная ситуация, когда тема сужается и т.п. Поэтому в процессе обучения не следует ориентировать выпускников на заучивание готовых фрагментов текстов, им надо дать необходимый лексико-грамматический запас и научиться применять его в ситуации разных тем и разных подходов к одной и той же теме.
Как и в ответе на задание 40 старого формата, в заключении должно быть эксплицитно сказано, что это мнение автора. Общие фразы типа «Чтение имеет большое значение…» без указания «по моему мнению»/«я считаю» и т.п. не соответствуют плану и коммуникативной задаче. Если автор прямо не указывает, что мнение принадлежит ему, то такой ответ не принимается (в дополнительной схеме ставим минус ).
Возникает вопрос, с читать ли ошибкой, если автор развёрнуто высказывает своё мнение во вступлении, а затем в заключении высказывает своё мнение развёрнуто ещё раз. В этом году такое дублирование идеи принимается, если дано в другом языковом оформлении.

Если в заключении присутствует только одно простое предложение, то этот аспект принимается или не принимается по РКЗ в зависимости от его содержания, а оценка по критерию ОТ снижается, так как в данном жанре письменной речи абзац не может состоять из одного короткого простого предложения. Например, автор в заключении пишет: “I think reading is very important for young people ” – принимается по РКЗ и является ошибкой в организации текста.
Другой автор пишет: “ Reading is very important for young people ” – не принимается по РКЗ и является ошибкой в организации текста. Если же автор пишет: “I think reading is very important for young people because it develops their imagination, teaches them life lessons and sometimes gives strength to keep going when they want to give up.” – такой ответ принимается и по РКЗ, и по ОТ.

Особую роль в организации текста играют средства логической связи. Каждый новый абзац должен логично присоединяться к предыдущему при помощи определённых средств связи. Следует помнить, что сочинительные союзы ‘ But ’ и ‘ And ’ в начале абзаца не принимаются. Внутри абзаца принимаются, если соответствуют контексту. Что касается подчинительного союза ‘ вecause ’, то его использование и в начале абзаца, и в начале предложения внутри абзаца являются ошибкой. Ошибкой также считается использование связки ‘ Firstly ’ без дальнейшего использования связки ‘ Secondly ’.

Иногда у экспертов возникают вопросы по разграничению ошибок в логических средствах связи и языковых ошибок. These statistics reveal a significant problem – the table completely lacks genres of classical music, which, as is known, has a momentous impact on the psychological, emotional and even intellectual development of the personality. One of the proper solutions to that problem is more funding for music schools and more music lessons at school.

The statistics point to an underlying problem.

The analysis of project data gives us a perspective that certain problems may arise. It is obvious that the vast majority of people are trying to move to big cities because of aforementioned reasons. That is why the problem of ecology may arise as there are a lot of cars, factories and plants. As a solution, factories and plants should be taken under full control and cars should be replaced with electric ones.
