What is your opinion? Do you agree with this statement? |
Some people say that with a computer at home an educational priccess goes faster, whereas others say that computers distract children from studying.
In my opinion computers help children study better. First of all, there are a lot of educational programs that help people to learn more and faster about the world. For example, an app called Biofast teaches students biology in a very funny and entertaining way. Secondly, one can use the Internet to search for some useful information. For instance, if a person googles a request, he or she will get the answer in a few seconds. Moreover, computers have become a part of modern life, as well as in education.
At the same time there are people who say that children waste a lot of time playing computer games instead of reading books, socializing with their friends or doing some other outdoor activity.
In my opinion one should not confuse playing computer games with using computers for education. Computers are only machines that ease the process of obtaining information, doing complex calculations and much more. It is difficult to imagine a scientist today who cannot operate a computer.
In conclusion, I would like to say that computers do help people (to) receive a better education. Almost everything can be misused and lead to bad consequences. If one uses computers for educational purposes he or she gets an advantage over those who do not.

Nowadays we are too dependent on personal computers at home. This has only increased dramatically with COVID-19 pandemic. Parents and children started to stay at home most of their time. So, people work and study with the help of computers and it is impossible to imagine life without them.
Personally, I agree with the statement that having a computer will help children to get a better education. As for me education nowadays is completely impossible without devices. Sure, it is possible to read books, go to library but you won’t get all of educational possibilities and modern information without computers. Computers and Internet provide wide range of educational platforms. Many colleges go online today, they provide courses and issue electronic certificates. Children can get a whole finished education only with the help of a computer.
On the contrary, some parents are worried about the amount of time children spend in front of computers. And it is difficult issue because it’s hard to control online educational processes and it starts getting on parents’ nerves when children spend all their time browsing the net. Maybe it’s better to set exact time periods for education and learning and to check children’s results. Also, parents can intentionally block number of services, websites or set passwords to make their kids spend less time in front of screens. As for me, this could decrease parents’ stress and increase children’s awareness.
Summing up all mentioned information, I can state that computers are a must today. They don’t only store massive amounts of information, connect people to the Internet, help to get a better understanding of data but also improve people’s abilities and knowledge. Nevertheless, it is important to use computers reasonably.

Having a computer at home will allow children to have better education
Undoubtedly, education plays a vital role in the fortune of a personality, that is why teenagers are made to study hard. It will not be an exaggeration to claim that the majority of parents do their best to provide their offsprings with everything they need for getting education, for instance, personal computer.
I totally agree with the statement above that installing a computer improves productivity of studying. Firstly, computers are considered to have connection to the Internet. In subsequence, it is thought to give a user an access to dozens of virtual libraries, where new knowledge may be obtained. Secondly, a system of online tutoring has already been developed. So, students from remote and rural areas may have lessons with renowned and qualificated teachers. Finally, films and books in the original may be downloaded from the Net, with the help of which foreign language skills can be mastered.
Nevertheless, there is another point of view on this issue. Some conservators claim that a computer will lessen a wish to learn as there are a lot of things to be distracted by. For instance, some pupils become addicted to playing computer games and stop doing homework. Moreover, students seem to be devoured with interacting and communicating with peers via social networks.
However, I still insist on my opinion. Time spent on playing computer games can be limited by parents with the help of computer settings. So, a pupil has more time on studying.
In conclusion, I would like to stress once more that under no circumstances should parents ignore installing a computer. If everything is controlled by adults, the process of getting education becomes more efficient.
