Trees Cutting |
In the modern world there are great many problems which not only a man but the whole humanity face. One of these problems is trees cutting. Population enlargement and rapid technological development ruin the nature. Thousand years ago the biggest part of the ground was covered by forests. People used wood in different goals during many years: at first for heating and building of habitations, then for construction of massive buildings and ships, for getting paper and many other things. In general, our planet suffers from deforestation, trees cutting turn into a real ecological problem. Notwithstanding that trees can be planted again, cutting speed is too high, and the trees have no time to grow up. A tree needs many years to become big. Scientists ring the alarm: territories remaining without trees became deserts because the top soil is washed by rains, numerous animal species and entire ecosystems perish. Trees are the lungs of our planet, that’s why it is necessary to treat them carefully. It’s very important to decrease damage from trees cutting around the entire planet, ecologists suggest series of actions for this: to increase territories for planting new trees, to prevent forest fires, to fight with poachers and crooked businessmen, to enlarge and to create new reservations. But what a usual person can do? At first, to plant new trees and to use paper reasonably. The nature beauty is our treasure and our duty is to keep it for future generation. |

I would like to tell you about cutting down trees. Today cutting down trees can bring a person well, I must say that it also has its share of disadvantages. Population growth and technological development are ruining nature.
First and foremost wood is an important building material for housing, and it is a source of fuel for heating. The most of tables, chairs, closets are made of wood
Although even though the trees can be re-planted, the rate of felling is too high, and the trees simply do not have time to grow again. It takes many years for the tree to become large. The forest is home to hundreds of species of flora and fauna. Animals and plants live in balance with nature. Man destroys this balance. Animals have nowhere to go. They die. Trees absorb carbon dioxide exhaled by living creatures, and process it. As a result, they produce vital oxygen. We need oxygen.
In summary, I believe that nowadays there are various methods to avoid cutting down trees and use other materials for our needs.

Deforestation is one of the most serious problems that the Earth is facing these days. Cutting down trees leads to a partial loss of oxygen, deprives animals of their habitats and affects the climate. These factors may cause the environmental problems and change the world for the worst.
First of all, people’s need for products made from woods makes them suffer from a climate and an environmental changes caused by the greenhouse effect. The more trees there are on the Earth, the more carbon dioxide they absorb, which prevents us from the greenhouse effect. However, the reducing number of nature’s «filters» makes the situation worse, adding global warming and harm to people’s health to the list of our problems.
Secondly, as deforestation leaves some animals without their habitats they become extinct. The species are exposed to winds, rains, sun rays, snowfalls, unfamiliar environment and humans so they have no choice but relocating to find shelters. It results in natural resources and food shortage because animals are an essential part of the nature’s chain.
Another reason why forests’ destruction is harmful is that a lot of people who live nearby the forests are left without their homes. They start protesting deforestation which is usually invain and may get in troubles because of the willingness to win back their houses.
To sum up, deforestation is among problems on everyones lips but which nobody is trying to stop. It totally changes our planet causing many problems. This is is a warning bell to the Earth population to use stuff made from trees wisely and find a way to protect our planet.
First of all, people’s need for products made fromout of woods makesmake them suffer from adrasticclimateclimatic and an environmental changes caused by the greenhouse effect.

One of the problems of the world is cutting down forests. Some people claim that cut down whole forests it is wrong and bad, some people refer to it calmly, they believe that deforestation is good earnings. What kind of is true? I’ll start with the approval «Of deforestation». Wood is the building material, of it do doors, tables, chairs, cabinets, build houses, because wood is a warm material, unlike the iron tree is Also what makes paper, very necessary for people. Now turn to the claim «Against deforestation.» Firstly, the felling of trees are destroyed habitats of wild animals, which many kinds of animals are missing. Secondly, trees produce oxygen, and as a consequence of cutting down trees will become dirty environment. Thus I conclude that deforestation in my opinion is bad and I am against. Because houses and other items can be made from modern materials. Now there were various materials to replace wood. And use machines instead of paper.

Almost everyone knows that the most part of tables, chairs, closets are made of wood and there is no wonder in this fact. By the same token wood is made of trees, which people cut down in big amounts every day.
On the one hand, cutting down trees benefit us greatly. The most apparent advantage is using trees to make different things like paper and other beneficial ones.
However, there are a few disadvantages of this action. First of all, trees are the source of oxygen, which is extremely necessary for people. Secondly, forests are also the home for many animals, so cutting down trees deprive our little friends of habitat.
To sum it up, despite the benefit of cutting down forests, I believe that we should do this very careful. For example, plant new trees after. To my mind, we always have to look after the nature.
Do you know that thousands of square kilometers of forest are being cut down every year? While cutting down trees can benefit man greatly, it must be said that it also has its fair share of disadvantages.
Trees can provide us with many useful products. Firstly, wood is an essential building material for housing and it is a source of heating fuel. Certain trees also provide us with medicine. For example, the bark of the cinchona tree contains quinine, which is used to treat malaria. We also get paper, cork and rubber from trees.
However, cutting down trees has several disadvantages. We are destroying natural habitats and so putting animals in danger of extinction. Furthermore, deforestation is contributing to global warming because there are fewer trees to absorb the carbon dioxide in the air.
To sum up, although there are advantages to cutting down trees I believe that it is important to reduce the number of trees that we cut down so we can guarantee the survival of animal species and also slow down global warming.
Thousands of square kilometers of trees cut down in the world every day. Trees provide us with useful products.
Wood was the first type of fuel, it was used more ancient people: in their pockets to find parking ash. Now get out of the wood fuel with different properties: firewood, wood chips, coal, wood dust, wood pellets and briquettes. Also, people use wood in all manufacturing industries
On the other hand, the cutting of trees leads to the extinction of animal, disruption of climate. Life on The Earth is impossible without trees.
Despite all the benefits, I think that people need to reduce the cutting down of the trees, otherwise the consequences could be terrible.

Environmental problems which are caused by deforestation
Deforestation is a contributor to global warming, and is often cited as one of the major causes of the enhanced greenhouse effect. Tropical deforestation is responsible for approximately 20% of world greenhouse gas emissions. According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change deforestation, mainly in tropical areas, could account for up to one-third of total anthropogenic carbon dioxide emissions.
The water cycle is also affected by deforestation. Trees extract groundwater through their roots and release it into the atmosphere. When part of a forest is removed, the trees no longer transpire this water, resulting in a much drier climate. Deforestation reduces the content of water in the soil and groundwater as well as atmospheric moisture. The dry soil leads to lower water intake for the trees to extract. Deforestation reduces soil cohesion, so that erosion, flooding and landslides ensue.
- Damage to forests and other aspects of nature could halve living standards for the world’s poor and reduce global GDP by about 7% by 2050, a report concluded at the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) meeting in Bonn. Historically, utilization of forest products, including timber and fuel wood, has played a key role in human societies, comparable to the roles of water and cultivable land. Today, developed countries continue to utilize timber for building houses, and wood pulp for paper. In developing countries almost three billion people rely on wood for heating and cooking.
- The forest products industry is a large part of the economy in both developed and developing countries. Short-term economic gains made by conversion of forest to agriculture, or over-exploitation of wood products, typically leads to loss of long-term income and long-term biological productivity.
Projects and foundations
Founded in 1972, the centennial of the first Arbor Day observance in the 19th century, the Foundation has grown to become the largest nonprofit membership organization dedicated to planting trees, with over one million members, supporters, and valued partners. They work on projects focused on planting trees around campuses, low-income communities, and communities that have been affected by natural disasters among other places.
The Billion Tree Campaign was launched in 2006 by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) as a response to the challenges of global warming, as well as to a wider array of sustainability challenges, from water supply to biodiversity loss. Its initial target was the planting of one billion trees in 2007. Only one year later in 2008, the campaign’s objective was raised to 7 billion trees — a target to be met by the climate change conference that was held in Copenhagen, Denmark in December 2009. Three months before the conference, the 7 billion planted trees mark had been surpassed.
Considered the largest reserve of biological diversity in the world, the Amazon Basin is also the largest Brazilian biome, taking up almost half the nation’s territory. The Amazon Basin corresponds to two fifths of South America’s territory. Its area of approximately seven million square kilometers covers the largest hydrographic network on the planet, through which runs about one fifth of the fresh water on the world’s surface. Deforestation in the Amazon rainforest is a major cause to climate change due to the decreasing number of trees available to capture increasing carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere.

Even while there is rainfall, trees continue to release oxygen into the atmosphere. In a nutshell, they ensure that the ecological equilibrium is preserved. If we continue to cut down trees, the population will continue to increase despite the fact that there will be less oxygen in the air as a result of our actions. Another effect may be a lack of available dietary sources.
And a whole host of other issues are connected to it, such as the fact that there will be less water available for irrigation because there will be less rain. If there is less water available for irrigation, there will be fewer crops harvested, which would, in turn, result in there being less food available. If this condition persists for an extended period of time, it could result in situations similar to famine.
The ability to breathe is essential to the survival of all living things, including trees, which are no exception. They are exhaling oxygen and taking in carbon dioxide with each breath. Carbon dioxide is exhaled while oxygen is taken in as we breathe. Our species has developed in close proximity to trees since they are the primary source of oxygen. Without the trees, none of us would be here today. When trees are cut down, the amount of oxygen in the air decreases. Let’s say you decide to chop down a tree but replace it with two healthy saplings. Even trees can be considered living entities. Check this list of affordable Perth Arborist to help you decide which services to choose.
The most crucial thing to remember is that rain cannot occur without trees. Rain falls because trees produce a climate that is both chilly and damp. Second, when it rains, the water is captured by the trees and prevented from reaching the ground because the trees prevent the water from passing through the soil. This prevents flooding. Thirdly, they are the source of sustenance for all forms of life.
What Is Deforestation?
Clearing land of trees, cutting them down, or removing them in any other way, whether by human hand, by nature, or by accident, is the definition of deforestation. It can happen in any region that has a high concentration of trees and other types of plant life, but the Amazon rainforest is where the majority of cases are being reported right now.
The disappearance of trees and other forms of vegetation can have a variety of negative effects, including an altered climate, the development of deserts, the acceleration of soil erosion, a reduction in agricultural production, an increase in the concentration of glasshouse gases in the atmosphere, and a variety of difficulties for native populations.
There are a lot of causes of deforestation, one of which being agriculture; however, widespread cattle ranching and logging for materials and development are responsible for 80 percent of all instances of deforestation. It has been going on for thousands of years, possibly ever since man made the transition from hunter-gatherer communities to societies centred on agriculture and required wider, clear stretches of land to support animals, crops, and homes. It wasn’t until the beginning of the modern era that it became a widespread problem, though.
Environmental Effects Of Deforestation From Above
Loss of Habitat
The extinction of animal and plant species as a direct result of their habitat being destroyed is one of the most distressing and deadly side consequences of deforestation. Seventy percent of the animal and plant species that live on land can be found in forests. Deforestation poses a risk not only to the species we are familiar with but also to those we do not know.
The trees of the rainforest, which offer protection to certain species and form a canopy over the area, also contribute to the process of temperature regulation. Deforestation causes the temperature to fluctuate more dramatically from day to night, much like it does in a desert, which poses a threat to the lives of many of the local population.
Increased Greenhouse Gases
In addition to the destruction of habitat, a reduction in the number of trees in an area results in an increase in the amount of glasshouse gases that can be released into the air. Forests in good health operate as valuable carbon sinks because of their ability to absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. These capabilities are lost in deforested areas, which thus emit more carbon.
Water in the Atmosphere
By contributing to the regulation of the water cycle, trees also help to manage the amount of water that is present in the atmosphere. In regions where trees have been cut down, there is less moisture in the air that can fall back to the ground. This subsequently results in the soil being drier, which makes it impossible to cultivate crops.
Why Are Forests So Important?
The Amazonian rainforest is responsible for the production of twenty percent of the oxygen that we breathe in, and they take up thirty percent of the land surface on the entire earth. They are essential to the quality of the air that we breathe. In addition, forests are essential for the maintenance of the water cycle as well as the preservation of the water quality in the river waters that are consumed directly or indirectly by cities. They also play an important part in avoiding climate change by soaking up carbon dioxide and storing it in their biomass, so keeping the gas from being released into the atmosphere. According to an article published in Scientific American, conserving forestland has the potential to boost our ability to meet our commitments under the Paris Agreement by 37 percent.
However, this is not all. More than that. By preventing the erosion of soil and making it more resistant to flooding and storm damage, forests can lessen the severity of the effects of these natural disasters. The world’s woods are home to around 80% of the planet’s total plant and animal species. And we owe this incredible biodiversity a great deal of gratitude because it has made it possible for humans to make advancements in fields such as healthcare and pharmaceutics, and more recently, it has inspired the eco-design of products by teaching us to model our best practises after those found in nature.
And finally, have you ever considered what life would be like if there were no forests? Not only for the over one billion people who live in woods or in close proximity to them and depend on it for their survival, but also for the people who live in cities and other urban regions. We take the basic materials that forests provide, such as wood and lumber, and alter them so that they may be used in a variety of products. These products range from lighter things like toilet paper, napkins, corks, or notebooks to heavy things like tables, chairs, or plain wood for burning. And, of course, woods are the source of avocados, acai, chocolate, coffee, mangoes, and countless other fruits and vegetables.
Why Do Forests Need Our Protection And Help?
Every second, an area of forest that is equivalent to one football pitch is destroyed. The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) estimates that approximately 8 million hectares of forest are lost every year. As a consequence, 17 percent of the Amazonian forest has been destroyed over the course of the last 50 years, along with other forestal areas like Indonesia or Congo. It’s not only the trees, either; species of plants, animals, and insects are going extinct every day at an alarming rate.
This might entail the loss of 10,000 to 100,000 species per year, which threatens the delicate balance that exists on Earth. In addition to this, the destruction of forests is responsible for somewhere in the range of 12–17 percent of the annual worldwide emissions of glasshouse gases. But what really is the root of the problem?
Indirectly, the side of demand is presumably being represented by either you or someone else you know. Specifically, the extractive, transformational, and consumer products companies, which together make up the supply side of the equation. The fact of the matter is that enterprises have been increasing the size of farmlands and ranchlands, the latter of which are responsible for the release of glasshouse gases and the consumption of enormous amounts of water (a topic for another discussion).
Just with mine explorations and urbanisation, the production of other commodities like palm oil, corn, and soy also require a significant amount of land space and are occasionally linked to deforestation (which is typically accomplished by trees that are unlawfully cut down or by creating fires). But it’s not simply about fruits and vegetables, meat, minerals in the earth, or construction. It is also about the amount of energy that we expend in urban areas. In one sense, the topic of whether or not biofuels derived from agricultural products (such as palm oil, sugarcane, or corn) can be considered sustainable and used in place of fossil fuels continues to be a contentious one. And it’s a well-known truth that a significant amount of the energy used in developing nations (whether for heating, cooking, or transportation) can be traced back to forests in the form of charcoal, wood, residuals, pellets, oils, sugar and starch crops, and a number of other commodities.
